Nokia 6133 and Macintosh

Is anyone else using the Nokia 6133 with their Mac? I'm looking for a way to sync it with my MacBook Pro. So far, it is not a model supported by iSync, and the Missing Sync website doesn't have something for it. Does anyone here have a good work around?

Thx

I just got a 6133, unlocked to use it on Cingular, and had it flashed to the (newer) non-T-Mobile firmware. (This got rid of some T-Mobile restrictions.)

While not perfect, I think it is a pretty nice phone. Great screen, easy to use with a button to flip it open, several programmable keys. Photos are OK for a phone. Have not tried music or FM radio.

I did set it up to work as a modem for my iBook via Bluetooth, which it did without a hitch. First time I'd done something like that - very cool. It does EDGE, but I am not sure it can do Cingular's HSDPA "3G" network.

I did a lot of research before getting this phone. Right now, I think it is the best mid-range phone on the market. It is essentially identical to the Nokia 6131 which importers sell in the US for $220-$240. The 6126 is also essentially the same. Too bad Cingular does not carry it.

My only concern is that sound quality is slightly tinnier than on our (now very old) Nokia 6340i phones.

I found this _free_ driver for iSync & the Nokia 6131:

[en.isync-hilfe.de]

I installed it, and the phone (6133) didn't work.

Then, figuring the 6131 was the same as the 6133, only with myFaves, I edited all the config files to the 6133 model and came up with this:

[divisionbyzero.net]

I installed that and it worked just fine.
