Honesty is the best policy

SL works fine on some Macs but has causes fits on others. Apple should be honest and give us the option of backing out SL. Life with my Mac was so enjoyable for over ten years before SL was fostered on us. SL is an EMERGENCY that could adversely affect Apple's growing market penetration. SL is a very good reason for NOT switching to a Mac.

'Works fine for me.

But then again, I made sure that all of the apps that I could update for it were updated and that my critical apps would run natively or under Rosetta before I installed Snow Leopard.

If you're unhappy, you can revert to the backup you made before blindly updating. You do have a bootable backup, right?

I think he MAY mean that Apple should offer an option with a new machine to have 10.5 vs. SL.

(Which I would agree with.)

SL worked fine for me until I found a few glitches. I painlessly went back to 10.5 for the time being and will wait for Apple & Adobe to come up with a few updates or patches.

As with almost everybody, SL has given me absolutely zero trouble.

Maybe you should check your mirror for the problem.

Good catch. 10.5 was an "abomination" as well.

WOW. Has it really been that long ago? I'm repeating my foray into SL by following the wisest of advice I game him last time...

Do any research prior to the install? (Worse time to learn there's no water in the pool is when you just left the diving board) Holding my Leopard on its' leash until it's fully grown.

Awesome find, STL.

If the same problem persists regardless of computer or operating system, I think it might be time to check the user.
