Printing contents of a window?

Way back int eh day, you could print the contents of a window so you could include a printed list of what files were on a disc that was being shipped or delivered to a vendor. My buddy still does this, but apparently taking a screenshot and printing that is too tricky for him. Is there some shareware that can do that, or a widget?
Thanks in advance for the help!

What OS? In the Preview app in SL you can go to "Take Screen Shot" under the File menu and it gives you choices of "Entire Screen", "Window" or "Selection". Then just print the image.

Several methods:

- open the printer's windows and drag-and-drop the folder there
- get the freeware TextWrangler, open a document window, and drag-and-drop the folder there
- get the shareware PrintWindow

Not quite 'voilĂ '--I think only certain browsers (Firefox?) support that functionality.

In the Finder, open the folder and type Command+A to Select All.

Type Command+C to copy to the clipboard.

Launch TextEdit.

Type Command+V to paste the list of files to a new text document.

Hey. The guy's correct. Pried the door off the closet of discontent & puled out Safari. It don't do the wonderfulness I suggested. Another reason to kick whatever life Safari has left in it out & throw it back into that closet.

That works, but missing date, time, size, kind, etc.

Guess its all in the interpretation.

"contents of a window" means all of that extra stuff as well...

But "list of what files were on a disc" seems pretty straightforward.
