The first phone that VW doesn't cripple will be first phone they don't cripple.

I guess it depends on if people are willing to pay an extra $30 per month for a network that does not drop a third of their calls.

that MacWorld article was a bit confusing.

so you pay a $30 data plan for the Droid (like iPhone data plan)
but if you want to connect to an Exchange server you have to...pay an additional $45?
or do you just get a $45 "enterprise" data plan instead of the $30 one?

I was worried about switching over from VW to AT&T specifically because of VW's better coverage, but you know what? I've gotten better coverage from AT&T and MUCH MUCH MUCH better customer support. I realize, just like hard drive reliability, everyone's opinion is purely anecdotal but I've got no problem recommending AT&T to people I know.

It is $30/month for regular consumers, and $45/month for corporate accounts. Both data plans give you the same thing, and both can connect to Exchange servers.

Tethering is an additional $30 on top of your data plan.

After nearly a year of progressively worse customer service from verizon, I jumped in with both feet.
Love the iPhone.
