Canon 5d Mark ll
***BUYERS BEWARE***
DBuys.com misleads and lies about selling Canon USA Cameras.
DBUYS.com are NOT authorized CANON dealers. DBUYS.com sell Gray market cameras with NO Canon WARRANTY cards. Once you have the camera and realize the scam, they will promise to send warranty cards, to prolong the return time period and then charge re-stocking fees or deny returns with RMA.
They have my $3500. I have no Warranty and its not covered by Canon. They have sent me two defective cameras with the promise of USA warranty cards and have not delivered and will not allow returning the product. Beware, they know the system and will scam unsuspecting customers!

Gee, you mean the time to check out a merchant isn't AFTER you buy something? Wow!
Did you even bother googling them before purchasing the camera or did the "great price" blind you?

You gave a company $3500 without doing any research on them?
Google search on "dbuys AND scam" gives lots of results. (not good news)
-
Reseller Ratings has 8 PAGES of 1 or 2 checkmark ratings. (alarm bells start going off)
-
BBB.org lists it as a BROOKLYN camera/electronics retailer with several aliases. (time to run away screaming)
Oh, if you saw the deal listed here on Dealnews, file a complaint here. [dealnews.com]

does not suck will be the day they start making vacuum cleaners."

At least you used a credit card so you can do a charge-back, right?

yes, unfortunately the credit card company requires that the product be returned to the company with confirmation. DBUYS has a very specific return policy and instruction guidelines to follow or else they deny accepting the package.
There customer service dept. denied sending me a return RMA because I said i would report them to the BBB.
They obviously know all the tricks of scamming!

I would not have thought that UPS or FedEx would leave a package without a signature if you checked the sig required box on the shipping form. And how do they deny a RMA email?

If they are still refusing to take it back, open accounts at other consumer review sites and post negative feedback. Use keywords and all the different store names (main ones listed in the BBB entry*) in your topic and list the main brands they carry in the body of the post so it gets indexed by Google/Yahoo/Bing. Make it clear that this is your opinion and you want to resolve the problem.

[beatthat.com]
[reviews.pricegrabber.com] (Pricegrabber was having problems when I checked)
[www.bizrate.com] (different name store front)
* [search.newyork.bbb.org]
[www.complaintsboard.com] (several entries, one sounds almost identical to yours)
Ask a question about how to get satisfaction because you think the retailer is treating you unfairly.

Report them to the New York Attorney General.

I gave up on ANY NYC based retailer that I don't know. Far too many are amazingly sleazy.
J & R is good, but all of those little camera shops - forget it - run away!

I always hate to here stories like this. Unfortunately, this is after the fact, but Roberts Imaging has the same camera at the same price and they are a legitimate Canon dealer with US Warrantied products [www.robertsimaging.com]. I purchase my equipment from them locally and their prices are hard to beat.

If you still have the cameras, I would suggest you look at getting a warranty through SquareTrade (http://www.squaretrade.com). Since Square Trade will provide a warranty even for items bought used (via eBay, etc.) I don't think they would have a problem providing a warranty for your camera(s). Obviously you are going to have to pay for it, so it's up to you whether you consider it worthwhile to pay whatever they are going to charge you. But at least you have an option. I have a couple of electronics items (smartphone, GPS unit, etc.) under warranty with them and I was pretty dubious when I first heard about the company, I thought for sure it was some sort of scam but I did quite a lot of research (including checking BBB where they are listed as a BBB accredited business with an A+ rating) and became convinced they are the real deal.
ADDED: BTW just for the heck of it I just went to the SquareTrade website, chose the "get a quote" and put in info for a $3500 camera, purchased new, and the result came back $299 for a 3-year warranty. You have a window of 60 days (I think it is, don't quote me on that) after purchase to decide to get a warranty with them.
Obviously paying for a warranty isn't as nice as getting one for free, but like I said, this might be a better option than having nothing.
Good luck to you.
